Pañcha-Tattva – A Journey Through the Elements Retreat

Pañcha Tattva – A Journey Through the Elements Retreat
Earth · Water · Fire · Air · Ether
23rd–27th July 2026

Join us for this immersive retreat dedicated to reconnecting with the primordial forces that shape both nature and our inner world. Rooted in the wisdom of yoga, tantra, and yantra, this retreat offers a contemplative journey through the pancha-tattva – the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether – held in the warm, expansive light of summer in Tuscany.

The retreat is led by Sw. Ahimsadhara (Australia) and Antarshuddhi  (Austria/Bulgaria).

The Pancha Tattva

According to yogic and tantric philosophy, the five elements are the building blocks of all existence. They live within the body, the mind, and the subtle energetic system, shaping our physical health, emotional patterns, and spiritual awareness. By consciously working with each element, we begin to restore balance, awaken sensitivity, and cultivate a deeper sense of harmony with ourselves and the world around us.

Experiencing the Elements on Multiple Levels

During these 4 days, we will immerse ourselves in sadhana – practice, study, creation, and reflection. Each morning begins with a themed asana, pranayama, and meditation practice, allowing us to directly experience the qualities of each element on physical, energetic and emotional levels.

Another central part of the retreat is the meditative drawing and painting of the tattva yantras, using natural pigments and materials. This intimate, hands-on process becomes a living form of sadhana – a quiet dialogue between inner perception and outer expression. Each yantra serves as a personal anchor for practice, holding the resonance of the element as a visual symbol.

Grempoli offers an ideal environment for this exploration. Surrounded by Tuscan hills and an organic permaculture garden, we will connect with the elements inside and outside of us, working with the land, our senses and perception in a grounded and embodied way.

The Retreat

Living in the quiet retreat centre of Grempoli, surrounded by olive groves, rolling hills, and open skies, you’ll enjoy comfortable Tuscan accommodations and nourishing organic vegetarian meals prepared with ingredients sourced directly from the garden. In the warmth of mid-year, we settle into a peaceful rhythm of practice, communal living, reflection, and restorative stillness. Together, we honour Mother Nature with respect and gratitude, nurturing intentions for connection, purification and transformation.
