This painting should stimulate beauty, happiness, love and sensuality in the observer and in the space it is displayed in, as well as individual and emotional sensitivity, attractivity and originality.

According to Harish Johari in the Vedic numerology Venus is attributed to the number 6, which is said to be the most fortunate number from 1 to 9. On the personal level 6 is the psychic number of people born on day 6, 15 or 24 of any month. This yantra is appropriate to anyone attracted to it, born on those days or wishing to harmonize or strengthen the Venus element in their personality.

Ganesh is the remover of obstacles and helps to create harmony and ease in ones life. I combined his yantra with a mandala design made from an ancient number grid named the Vedic square, choosing the number 6, which is connected to Venus. Ganesha‘s yantra works in this painting as a mediator for harmonizing the personal energies with the universal energy of Venus. Venus – the morning star and the most radiant planet in the eastern sky before sunrise and after sunset – is a benefic planet which has a female and watery nature, although he is described as a male and is known as the teacher of the antigods. Venus is the presiding deity of the sensual side of the human nature, governing romance, beauty, passion, sexual pleasure, as well as the fine arts, he likes music, poetry and dance. On the physiological level he governs the eyes, the throat, chin, kidneys, the reproductive system and the Water element. His influence is one of beauty, attractivity and happiness. His nature is lively, sensitive, emotional, playful, loving, courteous, frivolous, creative and inventive.

The colours of Venus are white, light blue, pink and chrome yellow and that is the overall feeling from the colours I have chosen as well. During the whole process of creation I have chanted and charged this painting with the Venus mantra.
I applied for it the “wash”-technique by the Tantric artist Harish Johari and the above information about the Vedic numerology is based on his book Numerology (1990).
