Celebrating Diwali: Creating the Venus Yantra, online session
20th October 2025
Join us for an online session dedicated to the qualities of the planet Venus (Śukra), featuring insights from Vedic astrology with Sara, as well as mantra chanting, yantra drawing, and painting with Antarshuddhi (Nadeshda).
Light, Prosperity, and the Sacred Geometry of Abundance
Diwali, also Deepavali (Dīpāvalī), the radiant Festival of Lights of India, is traditionally dedicated to welcoming Goddess Lakshmi into our homes and lives. Lakshmi is the embodiment of prosperity, abundance, harmony, and beauty. On this auspicious new-moon night, when darkness is deepest, homes are carefully cleaned and lit with lamps to invite abundance, to dispel shadows on all levels, and to celebrate the victory of light over darkness.
We invite you to celebrate Diwali with us in a three-hour online session featuring:
✨ Insights from Jyotiṣa (Vedic Astrology) with Sara
✨ Mantra chanting & Yantra drawing practice with Antarshuddhi
While Diwali is primarily a Lakshmi celebration, there is a fascinating symbolic resonance with Venus (Śukra) in Vedic astrology. Venus – the planet of art, beauty, creativity, love, refinement, fertility, and wealth – shares much of Lakshmi’s energy. In fact, Venus is considered the cosmic teacher of abundance and harmony. Just as Lakshmi showers blessings of prosperity, Venus represents the energetic principle of attraction, creativity, and balance. We will close our practice with meditation to connect with Venus even deeper.
Session Details
In this three-hour online sādhana, by working with the Venus Yantra – a sacred geometric diagram that channels the energy of Venus – we will honour the same universal qualities of prosperity and beauty that Lakshmi embodies. This makes the Venus Yantra a powerful and meaningful complement to Diwali’s spirit, inviting us to feel Lakshmi’s energy flowing through the planetary force of Venus, in gentle resonance with our inner energies, emotions, and states of mind.
